1757 Golf Club Wedding // Dulles, Northern Virginia Wedding Photographer

Ahhh – Emily and Rutger’s beautiful 1757 Golf Club Wedding. I have great memories from this day. Not only was this another wonderful time second shooting for Gracie Withers Photography, but it was a reminder for me that not even COVID or wedding planning stress can take away the joy of marrying your best friend.

Emily and Rutger got married in October 2020, but COVID restrictions stole their chance at having all their friends and family there to celebrate. So what do you do? You have ANOTHER wedding, of course! And this time, 1757 Golf Club was the perfect setting. These two tied the knot, again, on their one-year anniversary. And they were just as giddy and glowing as any newlywed couple I’ve worked with.

I’m so excited to share my favorite moments from their big day, but I also want to promote this charming venue! This is a great spot for a wedding. It boasts beautiful greenery, rolling hills, a timeless, classic country club vibe, a roomy bridal suite with natural light, and more. Thinking of having a 1757 Golf Club wedding? Let’s dive into the details!

1757 Golf Club Wedding Cost & Pricing

With any venue, sometimes time of year or day of the week could create variables in pricing. For example, if you’re a bride on a budget, it is ALWAYS worth asking your venue candidates if they offer off-season or Friday wedding day discounts or specials. You may get lucky!

According to Here Comes the Guide, the venue’s packages range from $74-94 per person. Also, with any venue, make sure to ask if there is an added gratuity fee. These can be sneaky and easily missed when you’re shopping venues on a budget. But you should ALWAYS contact the venue itself for an exact quote for your wedding day, as information on the internet could become outdated or inaccurate at any time. Contact the venue HERE.

Guest Capacity

This venue has some surprisingly spacious rooms to host your wedding day events. The guest capacity could accommodate just under 200 people, plenty of room for most weddings I’ve photographed but maybe not big enough for a couple with two large families.

The Grand Ballroom is the largest room to host your reception, but for smaller events be sure to ask about the Washington or Monroe rooms. The Jefferson room has a bar connected to the main foyer and hallway, making it ideal for an indoor cocktail hour with access to the outside patio. Ceremonies typically take place outdoors overlooking the golf greens, and can be in full sunlight during sunset. But the direction of the sun actually provides beautiful lighting for pictures of the couple at the alter, even if it does cause squinty guest pictures.

Services / Catering Offerings

A 1757 Golf Club wedding may take some added stress off of you, because they offer in-house catering and bartending services. In my experience, most venues with in-house services like this do not allow outside catering or alcohol. Make sure you ask the event coordinator at the venue about this if you have a specific caterer or alcohol in mind.

Insider Knowledge From a Wedding Photographer

If I were to advise a couple looking to book their wedding at this venue, here are a few things I noticed and experienced that may help you plan ahead:

  • One of the most popular spots for photos is their bridge in the middle of the golf course. You will need golf carts to get there, so be sure to ask for enough carts for yourselves, your photographer (and second shooter) and your videographers (if applicable).
  • Other photos I’ve seen at the venue have all different arbors at the ceremony site. This makes me think the couple is responsible for bringing their own. Be sure to ask!
  • You’ll see in the below photos there were not many couples’ portraits. That’s because this was Emily and Rutger’s second wedding day, and they really prioritized time with their guests. So we did not explore the grounds all that much – but that’s not to say there aren’t more places to take photos! Take a full tour, this place offers so many gorgeous views and stunning landscapes!

Now on to the photos!! I hope this inspires you as you try to envision your wedding day. Best of luck in choosing your venue, and happy wedding planning!

Xx Emily

Every detail of the Madelyn Tenney Events Spring Design Showcase 2025 was pure magic. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I had the joy of being invited to capture not only the beautifully curated spaces but also the intimate behind-the-scenes moments that made this spring showcase possible. From lush florals to elegant table settings, the event was a treasure trove of spring wedding inspiration for brides dreaming up their perfect day.

Hosted at Nova Studio in the heart of Atlanta, this carefully crafted experience was designed to set the tone for the upcoming wedding season—and it did not disappoint.

Spring Wedding Inspiration for Modern Southern Brides

The design vision for the showcase–Prima Flora–embraced soft pastels, delicate textures, and fresh seasonal styling. Think romantic blush tones, textured linens, and floral-forward installations. Madelyn and her talented team created a setting that felt simultaneously elevated and welcoming. It was truly a perfect exhibition of what sophisticated spring weddings can be in Georgia.

As I arrived early to document the event setup, I was able to photograph the team in their element: adjusting linens, styling stationery, and rehearsing the layout one last time. These behind-the-scenes moments revealed just how much heart went into this event. It’s easy to see why so many brides trust Madelyn Tenney Events to bring their dream weddings to life.

Behind the Scenes with Madelyn Tenney Events

Before the doors opened, I had the privilege of capturing team headshots for the women behind Madelyn Tenney Events. Their energy, collaboration, and vision made it clear this wasn’t just a design showcase—it was a heartfelt celebration of creativity and community.

The environment was buzzing with excitement as florists arranged final stems and vendors fluffed the final cushions. The team’s chemistry was undeniable, and it translated directly into the seamless flow of the event itself.

The Madelyn Tenney Events Spring Design Showcase

At the heart of the showcase were the intentional design vignettes. Each space told a story, offering spring wedding inspiration tailored for modern Southern brides. One standout element was a centerpiece floral installation by Marigo Flowers, assisted by Pollen Floral Company. It floated above a table layered with blush-toned linens from BBJ La Tavola, catching the light beautifully throughout the afternoon.

An eye-catching ice sculpture by Ice Sculpture Inc. ATL added a playful, elevated touch to the scene, while live entertainment from Jewel the Ballerina captivated attendees with ethereal movement, bringing life to the experience. Glasswing Rentals curated tableware that sparkled under the natural light of Nova Studio, and JC Rental Collective and Party Bound contributed pieces that gave each setup personality and polish.

Why This Event Matters for Atlanta Brides

If you’re a bride planning a wedding in Atlanta, Savannah, or North Georgia looking for fresh spring wedding inspiration, events like this one are invaluable. They don’t just showcase trends—they display the talent of local, trustworthy vendors who are passionate about what they do.

Every vendor at this showcase brought their A-game. Seeing each one’s work in person—and getting to document it as a film-inspired wedding photographer—was such an honor.

What I Loved Most as an Atlanta Wedding Photographer

Photographing this spring wedding inspiration at Nova Studio was a dream. The soft filtered light made the colors pop in a way that felt timeless and true-to-color. My goal is always to deliver film-inspired wedding photos that feel both editorial and authentic. The setting created by Madelyn Tenney Events was ideal for that.

Being trusted to document the designs and the passion behind them—team portraits, set-up, genuine laughter—reminds me why I love this work. These are the moments that couples don’t always see. These are the images that reveal the effort, energy, and heart poured into a couple’s day long before they say I do.
