I would have never believed you in 2019 if you said I would get to photograph Jordan and Lacey’s Dover Hall wedding! This gorgeous countryside mansion one of the most sought-after luxury wedding venues in northern Virginia. And it’s no wonder why! The estate was built to resemble an English Tudor castle. According to their website, this massive venue boasts 27 restrooms, 19 fireplaces, ten lodging suites, and an eight-car garage! Hosting a wedding here will make you feel like royalty. Any bride would feel like a princess galavanting down it’s long corridors and winding staircases.
Jordan and Lacey’s wedding was a fairytale for other reasons, too. For example, I had the pleasure of second shooting alongside one of my favorite people, Stacie of Marshall Arts Photography. Jordan wore a beautiful, tailored tux with leather Louboutin loafers. And Lacey looked like a goddess in her beaded fitted wedding gown.
The couple met at church, and their Christian faith was the centerpiece of their ceremony in multiple ways. First, they washed each others feet in a symbol of servitude to one another. Then they took Communion together. Lastly, they worshipped Jesus as their friends performed a worship song.
If you know me, you know I am a huge supporter of faith-centered wedding ceremonies. Similarly, when Kevin and I got married, we made a point to make sure our ceremony said more about Jesus than it did about us. So, it just warms my heart to serve couples who do the same with their wedding day.
Overall, the photos from this wedding have quickly become favorites in my portfolio! I’m so thankful that Stacie trusted me to join her for this insanely beautiful day and serve her sweet couple. Here are just a few of the highlights from my camera on Jordan and Lacey’s special day.
