Leading up to the very last second, everyone wondered if Luke and Ashley would have a rainy wedding day. They even set the ceremony space inside assuming the clouds would soon let loose. But Ashley held out hope, and got ready with all intentions of utilizing the beautiful outdoor space instead. And fate would have it that the rain would subside enough to get her down the aisle… outside. The rest of their Evergreen Country Club wedding was a total breeze. (Breezy is always the case when second shooting for Gracie Withers!)
Full of happy tears and sweet shared laughter, Luke and Ashley’s wedding day was a true test of faith. Especially faith in their vendor team! I often talk about trusting me as your photographer being the #1 factor in achieving beautiful wedding images. But it’s also easy to forget to trust your hair and makeup team, especially in the face of threatening weather patterns. I think you’ll see Ashley’s team did some magic because her hair and makeup held up the entire day and through the night!
Both bride and groom were glowing during every moment of the day. Some of my favorite moments can be shared below, but first let me point out some things you won’t want to miss.
My Favorite Moments from this Evergreen Country Club Wedding
- Their First Look. Luke’s beaming, bright smile when he saw Ashley! And Ashley held it together so well until Luke turned around, and then the emotions overwhelmed and it was so sweet to witness. I think this will be a First Look I remember forever.
- Ashley’s bridal portraits. I mean, look at this MODEL of a woman! She was working that dress, that veil, those flowers. Everything looked like it was made for her to shine.
- Their bridal party. They were all so kind helpful throughout the day. I especially love the moment captured when three of Ashley’s bridesmaids were fluffing her veil so perfectly before her bridal portrait was taken. And take a peek at the sweet emotions flowing behind Ashley during the ceremony 😉
- The intimate moments before the ceremony. We were all waiting around to see if someone would make the call to move the ceremony back outdoors. I was in the upper room with Ashley as she looked down toward the outdoor ceremony site. I still remember the giggles and happy tears we shared as we watched Ashley’s superhero dad carrying her arbor by himself to put it outside, just as she wished.
