If you’re considering Winn Park engagement photos, you’re probably looking for a location that’s beautiful, convenient, and doesn’t require fighting crowds for every image. As an Atlanta wedding photographer who includes engagement sessions in many of my collections, I’m always helping couples choose locations that fit both their personalities and their priorities. For couples who want greenery, easy parking, and a relaxed atmosphere (and even a dog friendly option to include your furry friend) Winn Park continues to be one of my favorite recommendations.

Is Winn Park a Good Location for Engagement Photos in Atlanta?

Short answer? Yes—Winn Park is one of the best engagement photo locations in Atlanta for couples who want a natural setting without the crowds or urban vibe of some of the city’s more popular parks.

Located in Buckhead, Winn Park offers mature trees, open green spaces, charming walking paths, and beautiful light throughout much of the day. As a result, it creates a timeless backdrop that keeps the focus on your relationship rather than the location itself.

Additionally, the park’s quieter atmosphere helps couples feel more comfortable in front of the camera, which often leads to more genuine and connected images.

Why Would A Winn Park Engagement Session Be More Secluded?

One of the biggest reasons couples love Winn Park engagement photos is that the location feels tucked away despite being in the heart of Atlanta.

Unlike many popular photo destinations, Winn Park typically doesn’t attract large crowds, tour groups, or heavy foot traffic. Therefore, couples can enjoy a more private experience while still benefiting from a convenient city location.

The combination of accessibility, beautiful scenery, and peaceful surroundings makes it a favorite among both couples and photographers.

Is Winn Park Dog Friendly for Engagement Photos?

Yes. Winn Park is one of the most dog-friendly engagement photo locations in Atlanta.

For many couples, like Kylee and Trevor, their dog is an important part of their story and growing family. Therefore, including them in engagement photos feels natural and meaningful.

During this engagement session, Kylee and Trevor brought their dog Tucker along, and the park’s open spaces made it easy to incorporate him into portraits throughout the evening. Because there was plenty of room to move around, the experience felt relaxed rather than stressful. Less distractions for their sweet pup meant an easier time posing with him!

If you’re searching for dog-friendly engagement photo locations in Atlanta, Winn Park is an excellent choice.

Does Winn Park Have Easy Parking for Engagement Sessions?

Yes, and that’s one of its most underrated benefits.

Parking may not be the first thing couples think about when choosing a photo location. However, difficult parking can quickly add unnecessary stress to an otherwise enjoyable experience.

Fortunately, Winn Park offers convenient nearby street parking and easy access to the primary portrait areas. As a result, couples can spend more time enjoying their session and less time searching for a parking space.

Is Winn Park Less Crowded Than Piedmont Park?

In most cases, yes.

While Piedmont Park remains one of Atlanta’s most iconic photography locations, it can also become extremely busy, especially during evenings and weekends.

Winn Park offers a quieter alternative. Because it’s nestled within a residential neighborhood, it often feels much more private and relaxed.

For couples who feel nervous about being photographed in public, this can make a significant difference in their overall experience.

When Is the Best Time for Winn Park Engagement Photos?

The best time for Winn Park engagement photos is typically during the hour or two before sunset.

At that time, the light filters beautifully through the mature trees, creating soft highlights and flattering skin tones. Additionally, the lower sun angle adds depth and dimension while maintaining the bright, airy look many couples love.

Spring and fall are especially beautiful seasons at Winn Park, although the location photographs well year-round. Thanks to being settled lower than the street level, with plenty of trees around, the shady park may offer a cooler respite than most park locations in the summer months.

Which Atlanta Wedding Photographers Include Engagement Sessions In Their Packages?

As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I believe engagement sessions serve a much greater purpose than simply creating save-the-date photos.

An engagement session allows us to build trust before the wedding day. It gives couples the opportunity to become comfortable in front of the camera while learning what to expect from the photography experience.

Meanwhile, I get to learn how you naturally interact, communicate, and connect with one another.

Because of that, wedding-day portraits often feel more relaxed, efficient, and authentic. That’s one reason I include engagement sessions in many of my wedding collections. Looking for that all-inclusive experience? Inquire with me here to see if your wedding date is still available on my calendar!

Are Winn Park Engagement Photos Worth It?

For couples looking for a beautiful park setting, easy parking, dog-friendly spaces, and fewer crowds, the answer is absolutely yes.

After photographing engagement sessions throughout Atlanta, I’ve found Winn Park to be one of the most overlooked locations in the city. It combines convenience with natural beauty while providing an experience that feels calm and personal.

If you’re searching for an Atlanta wedding photographer who includes engagement sessions, I’d love to help you choose a location that reflects your relationship and create images that feel authentic to who you are as a couple.

Every detail of the Madelyn Tenney Events Spring Design Showcase 2025 was pure magic. As an Atlanta wedding photographer, I had the joy of being invited to capture not only the beautifully curated spaces but also the intimate behind-the-scenes moments that made this spring showcase possible. From lush florals to elegant table settings, the event was a treasure trove of spring wedding inspiration for brides dreaming up their perfect day.

Hosted at Nova Studio in the heart of Atlanta, this carefully crafted experience was designed to set the tone for the upcoming wedding season—and it did not disappoint.

Spring Wedding Inspiration for Modern Southern Brides

The design vision for the showcase–Prima Flora–embraced soft pastels, delicate textures, and fresh seasonal styling. Think romantic blush tones, textured linens, and floral-forward installations. Madelyn and her talented team created a setting that felt simultaneously elevated and welcoming. It was truly a perfect exhibition of what sophisticated spring weddings can be in Georgia.

As I arrived early to document the event setup, I was able to photograph the team in their element: adjusting linens, styling stationery, and rehearsing the layout one last time. These behind-the-scenes moments revealed just how much heart went into this event. It’s easy to see why so many brides trust Madelyn Tenney Events to bring their dream weddings to life.

Behind the Scenes with Madelyn Tenney Events

Before the doors opened, I had the privilege of capturing team headshots for the women behind Madelyn Tenney Events. Their energy, collaboration, and vision made it clear this wasn’t just a design showcase—it was a heartfelt celebration of creativity and community.

The environment was buzzing with excitement as florists arranged final stems and vendors fluffed the final cushions. The team’s chemistry was undeniable, and it translated directly into the seamless flow of the event itself.

The Madelyn Tenney Events Spring Design Showcase

At the heart of the showcase were the intentional design vignettes. Each space told a story, offering spring wedding inspiration tailored for modern Southern brides. One standout element was a centerpiece floral installation by Marigo Flowers, assisted by Pollen Floral Company. It floated above a table layered with blush-toned linens from BBJ La Tavola, catching the light beautifully throughout the afternoon.

An eye-catching ice sculpture by Ice Sculpture Inc. ATL added a playful, elevated touch to the scene, while live entertainment from Jewel the Ballerina captivated attendees with ethereal movement, bringing life to the experience. Glasswing Rentals curated tableware that sparkled under the natural light of Nova Studio, and JC Rental Collective and Party Bound contributed pieces that gave each setup personality and polish.

Why This Event Matters for Atlanta Brides

If you’re a bride planning a wedding in Atlanta, Savannah, or North Georgia looking for fresh spring wedding inspiration, events like this one are invaluable. They don’t just showcase trends—they display the talent of local, trustworthy vendors who are passionate about what they do.

Every vendor at this showcase brought their A-game. Seeing each one’s work in person—and getting to document it as a film-inspired wedding photographer—was such an honor.

Being trusted to document the designs and the passion behind them—team portraits, set-up, genuine laughter—reminds me why I love this work. These are the moments that couples don’t always see.
