This family session was absolutely precious!! There really wasn’t a whole lot of obstacles on the day of the Morris family’s session — aside from me getting lost and clumsily hopping rocks across a creek to get to the right park (I laughed at myself for this one).
The rest of this session went so smoothly — and I know I say this a lot, but — it was all due to these amazing people. Mom, Dad, and baby were all so photogenic and easy-going! Addison did not fuss once! And she was so curious of the camera, I couldn’t get her eyes off of me (but like, who would WANT to??)
Our session took place in the beautiful Bon Air Memorial Rose Garden in Arlington, VA. I had never heard of this park until Lauren requested it! Boy, am I glad she did!! It turned out to be a lovely little park with tons of variety of backdrops to work with. There were a few times we had to dodge other families enjoying the park, or use my clients’ bodies to keep strangers out of the shot.
Some of my favorite shots were the ones sitting within the flower beds. I mean… look at that glow! Look at the colors those flowers bring out! This location was a total win, and the family’s outfits were so perfectly coordinated with each other and their venue. I love how they all just popped off the luscious, green background!
